Always weird to talk in 3rd person

Shiuan is born and bred in Singapore where she graduated from Temasek Design School with a diploma in Visual Communications. She was then a flight attendant for 5 years before becoming a full-time artist and designer with Schoolism/ Imaginism Studios, Canada.

Her controversial painting of the late founding father of Singapore was featured in numerous Southeast Asian news and media. Since then, she has been spotlighted in Noise Singapore exhibitions, worked on a few comic and covers (Shogakukan Asia, Image Comics) and held a few talks/workshops. In 2019, she was lucky to be part of the amazing team that started Lightbox Expo.

Like every breathing artist, her delusions of grandeur involves telling her own story through her art one day by constantly learning and improving her storytelling and technical skills.

When she isn't battling deadlines, she's busy reading too much Neil Gaiman/Harry Potter and drinking too much milk tea (just kidding, there is never too much milk tea). You are welcome to follow and laugh at her struggles on her shameless Instagram account.
